Chiang Mai Mission

Alex, Viviana and myself flew over to Chiang Mai 2 days ago to help a missionary couple Kian Leong & Su Foong with some filming work. Their family have been living here for 3 years, working amongst the Thai people and learning the language. Part of their work is helping to bring hope to the Thai women. We interviewed 2 girls yesterday, one of which was brought out of prostitution and the other they housed for a year because she had no where to go. They have acquired a building where it will be used a centre to help care givers for patients living with cancer. The centre is called Living Waters and it is near a major hospital. Often times people travel for hours to come to the hospital for treatment and usually the care givers have no where to stay, bunking in corridors of the hospital for days. So this place is open to female patients or care givers who need a place to live during treatment. It is provided to them for free.

Here’s a photo of the family in front of their home in Chiang Mai.

A photo of us at a dinner location yesterday. We look like we’re on holiday but we’re not, really!

The official opening of the centre is on Friday the 28th of August. Do pray for the work here and that the lives of these people will be changed by the love of God.
