Managed to sort through a few more images that I like from Serina's dance shoot a few days ago. A few things I learnt from this shoot - you must always have a large empty space / plain walls for dance photos so that the subject stands out from the background. One of the hardest things I had to do for this shoot is to avoid corners, and the ceiling! The ceiling was so low, that when she raised her arms with the veil, I could see the air-con above her. Having a tough time touching up some of the photos. The best thing about this Dance Space studio is the red and black wall. It really worked well with Serina's red and black flamenco outfit. You can tell the difference when we changed background from this window shot to the black and red wall in the next image.
Serina was like a chameleon! She changed outfits, hair do and make up...completely transforming herself into a belly dancing queen - all in one hour!
While Serina got herself transformed into another outfit, we had a few shots with some other jazz dancers.
Back to Serina, this time in another stunning belly dancing costume!
Sizzling hot eyes!
Finally, we moved outdoors to do all the other jazz shots. Some have asked me what time of day I shot this - it was about 5pm, but the clouds were gathering and it looked like it was going to rain. Lots more shots in the bag, but these are just a few of my favourite ones.
After it started to drizzle, we quickly headed into Plaza Damas to grab this quick shot! We took the shot in 2 minutes - we had to be quick before we got chased out by the security guard!
